A Delicious Blend of Suspense and Romance

I really liked this book. Although the title or cover didn't grab me at first, my curiosity was peaked when a collegue recommended the story. So I began reading and I was sucked in at the first chapter. The characters were believable and the plot was intriguing and at times intense. I also liked the fact that the author threw in a little romance along the way. A very entertaining story- I highly recommend it.

Organization Made Simple

If you are feeling a little overwhelmed with life, your home seems out-of-order and chores are getting on top of you, pick up Simply Living Smart by Anitra Kerr. It is a fast read that gives you an inside look into a week in the life of Anitra Kerr. I loved all her ideas and insights into de-cluttering, food storage, recipe ideas for school and at home and organizing each room in the house. I loved how she delegated certain tasks and activities to specific days in the week.
I will definitely be implementing many of the ideas in this book and look forward to creating a stress-free organized life and living environment. Thank you Anitra for a much needed book!

Famous Family Nights

Famous Family Nights by author Anne Bradshaw is the kind of book that you pick up, read a little, put it down, come back to it, read some more and put it down, until you find yourself wanting to pick it up again and read some more. I loved the fact that she interviewed people from around the world with various backgrounds and experience with FHE. I loved the frank and uplifting messages of the interviewees and I loved gleaning from the many ideas and experiences shared. There's a couple of ideas in there that I want to implement into our own Family Home Evenings!
This is a fun and interesting read and a great resource of ideas- one that gave me hope and reaffirmed my testimony of the blessings of this inspired practice.

Faeries, Elves and Other Magical Creatures

I enjoyed reading Alvor by new author Laura Bingham; it was the kind of book that sucked me in and had me intrigued enough to keep my attention to the very end. The story revolves around twins Bain and Erin, whose exploration of a cabin in the woods by their home, leads them to discover a hidden magical world. Not only do they unveil the mysteries of this other-worldly realm, but they also discover fantastic secrets about themselves. Well written, well paced and very imaginative, I recommend this book for fans of Fantasy and anyone wanting a magical escape from reality!
